I've been enjoying the start of my Honours year at ANU, and now heading to the US for the next month or so. Not only will I be escaping Canberra's winter, I'll have the pleasure of spending time at two great institutions: the Penland School of Crafts (North Carolina) and the Corning Museum of Glass (New York). At Penland, I'll be a studio assistant for Richard Whiteley's kilncasting and coldworking class. At Corning, I'm excited to be learning paper-thin pate de verre with Saman Kalantari. In between, I'll be doing a little sightseeing, including the lovely Shenandoah national park. I'll share some pictures soon!
