canberra glassworks: diplomacy exhibition / by Hannah Gason

I'm currently having fun at the Canberra Glassworks preparing works for an exciting upcoming exhibition. You can find me in the 'Engine Room' until my residency ends on Friday (23 Jan). If you're in the area, please feel free to come and say hello.

Diplomacy: translations in glass, curated by Ivana Jirasek, is an exhibition responding to the international glass traditions and cultural influence represented by eight diplomatic missions in Canberra. My works respond to the French traditions of pâte-de-verre, including the stained-glass windows of François Décorchemont (1880-1971).

Many thanks to the Embassy of France for their interest and support.

The exhibition opens on 11 February and runs until 16 April 2015 (and includes a side event).
